Lambda Pi Chapter – Serving Flint’s College Campuses
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated – Lambda Pi Chapter is the citywide undergraduate chapter proudly serving the University of Michigan–Flint, Baker College, and Kettering University. Originally chartered on April 12, 1997, during a formal ceremony held at the University of Michigan–Flint, Lambda Pi has a rich legacy rooted in service, scholarship, and sisterhood.
Charter Members:
Sorors Cassondra Collins-Whitlow, Angelina Ingram-Seay, Keesha Hankins-Holbrook, Yolanda Dantzler-Collins, Therasa Simpson-Martin, and Natasha Underwood.
Although the chapter was officially established in 1997, its foundation was laid years earlier. On February 10, 1995, five trailblazing women became associate members of the Zeta Beta Zeta Chapter due to the absence of an undergraduate chapter in the Flint area. These Sorors—Chelan Pea-Taylor, Yolanda Dantzler-Collins, Therasa Simpson-Martin, Keesha Hankins-Holbrook, and Meka Vaughn-Young—paved the way, with three later becoming Lambda Pi charter members.
Chapter Reactivation – A New Era Begins
After a period of dormancy, Lambda Pi Chapter was officially reactivated on April 9, 2025, with the reactivation ceremony held on April 14, 2025. This historic event marked a powerful resurgence of undergraduate Zeta presence in Flint.
Reactivation Members:
Sorors Tachina Clark, Shyronda Green, and Char Li Witcher.
Their dedication and leadership ushered in a renewed commitment to Zeta’s principles and expanded the sorority’s impact on Flint’s college campuses.
